Each marker was designed to highlight symbolic imagery from each featured artwork, while maintaining Frida's original line quality.

CONTENT

As you move around and explore the 3D paintings, Frida's eyes follow you. These 3D renditions of Frida's artwork were approached sensitively, as this experience is art about art. Nothing was altered as the elements within each painting were brought to life with animation and sound effects. This multidimensional translation spotlights various symbols found in her art.

SOUND DESIGN

Each painting featured a unique environmental soundscape that further enhanced the immersion into the world of Frida Kahlo. The design of the soundscapes captured the visual content within the artworks, but also took into consideration the moods and underlying commentary of each painting.
